We at “सजगप्रहरी” are a non-profit NGO whose directives are:
1. to help create a safe living environment;
2. prevention of crime through public awareness;
3. deterrence of public disorder, anti-social behaviour and crime;
3. increase of security at homes and in the society;
4. represent public interest in assuring safety.

Neighbourhood Watch

We have started a pilot project called “Neighbourhood Watch”. This project is about local people working together to create safer, attractive and friendly places to live; places where crime is less likely to happen and people are less likely to turn to anti-social behaviour.
Every community has its own needs and being placed in the heart of the city, our NGO is well placed to deliver such a project. We think that a partnership with Lucknow Police can make our social drive very successful. After all, who knows what a community needs better than the people who live in it and the Police that serves to protect it.

As a pilot project we propose to work with UP Police and residents of Lucknow to:

Introduce principles of Neighbourhood Watch with the help of UP Police.
Install and maintain connectivity of public sector and privately owned (but public property facing) CCTV
cameras to the UP Police designated control room
Installation of Fibre / wireless connectivity as required for provisioning of aforementioned CCTV connectivity.
Facilitate setup of Neighbourhood watch zones and their effective activity
Develop cooperation with state institutions, local police, local government and other non-profit associations
